If it shows a generic one, chances are that your wireless card is faulty. But now it never connects. Will read my manual on that issue. Report Respond to jack4rall.

I am very very frustrated already. I am just connecting my phone to my laptop and am using USB tethering to connect to the internet since all our other laptops and phones can connect to the wifi.

Aliyyila – Sep 15, at I checked the devise manager again, it shows my broadcom device without mentioning it is a wireless network card. Thus it does not register the new drivers. The bridge on the mobo allows the processor to communicate with the USB, Lan, wireless, card-reader etc.

After installing the launchmanager and driver, it still cant detect the wireless network. I’m still trying to figure out the cause of the wireless connection failure. I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to get this sorted.
